Mudon Group states that the number of palaces, villas,
and private housing homes for citizens has increased to approximately 161,000
establishments by the end of 2022, with the Al-Ahmadi Governorate leading in
this regard with a share of 21%, followed by the Jahra Governorate with a share
of 17%, the Governorates of the capital, Hawalli, and Farwaniya with 16% each,
and finally Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate with 13%.
According to the group's report, which was based on data
from the Public Authority for Civil Information, the average occupancy of
citizens' homes, i.e., private housing of all types, is two Kuwaiti families
and 9.4 citizens for each private house, and as of the end of 2022, the total
number of citizens was approximately 1.52 million, distributed across 322
thousand families.
The report data states that the Capital Governorate has
the highest occupancy rate for Kuwaiti homes, with a rate of 11 citizens and
2.4 families in each house, and there are about 26.5 private residences in the
Capital Governorate, inhabited by about 287.4 citizens distributed across 62.3
families.
