Mudon:576 commercial complexes in Kuwait, 60% of which are in Hawalli and Farwaniya

A report issued by Modon Al Ahlia Real Estate Company said that there is an imbalance in the distribution of commercial services, shopping centers and commercial malls among the governorates of Kuwait, based on statistics from the Public Authority for Civil Information regarding establishments in Kuwait. The company explained in its monthly real estate report based on data from the Civil Information and Establishments Statistics Authority issued by the Central Administration of Statistics that Mubarak Al-Kabeer and Al-Jahra governorates account for only 9% of the total complexes in Kuwait, estimated at 576 complexes at the end of 2017, while Hawalli and Farwaniya governorates account for 60. % of it, with a share of 36%, for Hawalli Governorate, followed by Farwaniya Governorate, with a share of 24%, then Al-Ahmadi Governorate, with a share of 18%, then the Capital Governorate, with a share of 13%.
The report indicated that the other commercial buildings, estimated at 4,381, are mostly concentrated in the Capital Governorate, with a share of 41%, followed by Farwaniya Governorate, with a share of 26%, then Al-Ahmadi Governorate, with a share of 13%, then Mubarak Al-Kabeer, with a share of 9%, and the governorates of Jahra, with a share of 6%, and Hawalli, with a share of 5%. The report stated that a large number of retail activities are still outside integrated commercial complexes, with the number of stores exceeding 108,000 stores in Kuwait, in addition to 32,000 entities and commercial offices, with a total of 140,000 stores and commercial units in Kuwait by the end of 2017, which is a large number compared to the limited number. For 576 commercial complexes and 4,381 commercial buildings, with a total of no more than 5,000 complexes and buildings.
